Crofton MD Information –
Anne Arundel County Public Schools recently announced that thirty-four county teachers received National Board Certification this year from The National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), double the number who achieved this status in 2006. Ten of the 2007 Anne Arundel County teachers are in Crofton-area schools, including Odenton and Davidsonville:
Crofton Middle: Jennifer Brockhurst, Laura DeConinck, Patricia R. Mulcahy, John G. Rider, and Terry L. Williams
Davidsonville Elementary: Keri Allen
Piney Orchard Elementary: Lydia Gonzalez
Seven Oaks Elementary: Jennifer Gross
Waugh Chapel Elementary: Theresa
Abbott and Lisa Wild
These teachers completed a rigorous professional development assessment to bring the total number of National Board Certified teachers in Anne Arundel County to 124.
No wonder schools in the Greater-Crofton area are so good – we have several nationally acclaimed teachers. Congratulations to the 2007 Crofton-area newly certified teachers and all the teachers in Anne Arundel County who have earned their National Board Certification. We are so proud of you!
