Crofton Kids Can Ride Thomas the Train
April 22nd, 2008 Categories: Crofton Events
Calling all Crofton Moms, Dads, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles… Thomas & Friends will be in nearby Baltimore this weekend, Friday-Sunday (April 25–27) and next (May 2–4). Treat the small kids in your family to a day they’ll never forget.
Sir Topham Hatt, the Controller of Thomas’ Railway, will be on hand to greet you as you board Thomas the Tank Engine for a 25 minute ride. Other activities will include story-telling and video viewing, arts & crafts at Imagination Station, building with LEGO® DUPLO® bricks, temporary tattoos of Island of Sodor friends and several surprises.
All this will take place at the B&O Railroad Museum on Pratt Street in Baltimore, just 25 miles and 35 minutes from Crofton, Maryland.
While the little ones will have a ball with all things Thomas, you may discover a place to visit again soon, possibly even without the kids. As Executive Director Courtney Wilson says, “This National Historic Landmark holds the oldest, most historic and comprehensive American railroad collection in the World, in a unique complex of historic structures, all on a 40-acre historic site universally recognized as the Birthplace of American railroading.”
Sometimes we get so busy, we forget all there is to do and explore in nearby Washington and Baltimore. ‘Think I’ll add some of these neat places to my growing list of blog topics and include them in “Crofton Events” so you can find them in the future.
