Secret Crofton Community and Real Estate News

Have you ever noticed that this blog about Crofton real estate and community news doesn’t get many comments?  Sometimes I wonder if it’s a “secret blog” that no one in Crofton knows about except my husband.

I do know that people beyond the 21114 zipcode follow FocusOnCrofton, because it’s ranked in the Top 100 of all real estate blogs in the world, based on Alexa and Compete ratings, as compiled by Jonathan Washburn.

Just to be certain all my work isn’t lost in cyberspace, every now and then I do a google search.  Today, when I searched “Crofton Community News”, FocusonCrofton came up #3 in google results.  Then I did a search for “Crofton Maryland Real Estate” and it was #2.  Finally, I did a search for “Anne Arundel County Relocation” and it was #8 on the first page, behind one of my posts on ActiveRain titled Your Online Relocation Package for Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

If you ever clicked through on any of the links for my Maryland Real Estate Blog on ActiveRain, you’ll usually see comments from readers.  This Relocation post had about ten, including my replies to commenters, and one of my posts this week had 72 comments.

The funny thing is that FocusOnCrofton readers sometimes do email their comments directly to me, yet they don’t click on the comment button of the post itself.  I just want to assure you that it doesn’t hurt, no one is going to start soliciting you for donations or try to sell you anything, and it enhances the blog post when other people provide additional information on the topic or even a different perspective.

Take a minute to look for the link on the bottom right of each post, where it may say  “Discussion: No Comments” – That’s where you click to add your two cents.  You don’t even have to use your whole name, or even your real name.  But it would be nice to know if anyone out there is reading this blog.

Hopefully it’s NOT a secret!

P.S.  My “other” blog, the Maryland Real Estate Blog, is ranked #42 on a list of the “most subscribed bloggers” among 90,000+ ActiveRain members.  But I still wonder…  Who’s reading FocusOnCrofton.com?

My blog feels lonely from time to time too, Margaret! There is no need for your local readers to be afraid to comment - you have a wealth of information to share if only they will ask!
