Crofton Library Celebrates Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

It seems like every day is a holiday in March, starting with Peanut Butter Lover’s Day yesterday. Today is Dr. Seuss’ 105^th birthday, and we’ll be celebrating it again on Wednesday with a parade at the Crofton Library. Your kids are no doubt suffering from cabin fever after being in the house all winter, so Dr. Seuss’ birthday is a great excuse to go spend some of that pent-up energy.

March is American Red Cross Month, Music in our Schools Month, Women’s History Month, National Frozen Food Month, National Noodle Month, Youth Art Month, National Craft Month and National Nutrition Month.

And let us not forget that the 2^nd week of March is National Bubble Gum Week. Have a piece!

March 3 – The Star Spangled Banner adopted by Congress as our National Anthem (1931)

March 7 – Crofton Cub Scout Pack 731, Scouting for Food Project
March 9 – Workshop for Mature Drivers, Crofton Library, 2 p.m. – sponsored by the Maryland MVA
March 10 – Greater Crofton Council, 7 p.m., Village Commons Community Center at Village of Waugh Chapel. Guest, Senator Ben Cardin – Watch for the agenda to be posted on their website
