Have you noticed this shrine among the trees on a hill overlooking Rt. 450 between Crofton and Annapolis?
A few months ago while driving home to Crofton from Annapolis, I spotted something on a hill overlooking Rt. 450. Intrigued by what appeared to be a statue in the woods, I watched for it on subsequent drives along that route and wondered about its origin.
After a while, a second statue was added, motivating me to drive into Hermitage and try to figure out which home(s) backed to this hill. I never figured that out, and I’m more curious than ever about the story behind this roadside shrine.
Does anyone out there know?
