How to Cope When You Work and Kids Don’t Have School

Once again it’s SportFit to the rescue for working parents whose kids are off on January 18 and again on January 25. And you don’t have to be a member at SportFit to take advantage of this special day camp for kids ages 5–12.
There will be arts and crafts, fitness activities, swimming, games – you name it – to keep them busy and safe from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. while you’re at work. The cost is $75 for non-members and $60 for SportFit members, with $10 off if you don’t need the extended hours (before 9 and/or after 4).

Day Care Available Next Week

School is out in Anne Arundel County on Monday and Tuesday next week, not just for Thanksgiving. I’m sure the kids are happy, but what are you going to do… take off work for the whole week?

Child Care for School Furlough Days

October 16 is a furlough day for public schools in the Bowie-Crofton area. Will you use some of your vacation time to stay home from work and care for your small children? What will you do if vacation time is not an option? You don’t want to leave your children at home alone – not even with older siblings.
Sport Fit Bowie has a better idea for you and your children – Camp Sport Fit Day Camp. Swimming, sports, games, arts and crafts will keep your children busy and safe on furlough days and all “no school” days, without your having to take off work. This option is available for 5–12 year old members and non-members alike on the following school holidays:
